Coretec Inc. - ITAR

As a Canadian PCB manufacturer with prototype subsidiary plants in the USA, Coretec is uniquely positioned to manufacture US ITAR-Regulated products.

What is ITAR?
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is a set of US government regulations that controls the export and import of defense-related material and services. Administrated by the US Department of Defense, ITAR was created to advance US strategic objectives and foreign policy via trade controls.

ITAR specifically restricts the trade of defense articles and services listed on the United States Munitions List. These items include:
  • Defense Articles (items designed or modified for military or space applications)
  • Technical Data
  • Services

    What is the Canadian Exemption?
Per section 126.5 of ITAR, US companies can send “build-to-print” and “build/design-to-specification” technical data (drawings, specifications, and Gerber files, etc.) for the manufacture of ITAR-controlled PCB’s to companies like Coretec who are registered under Canada’s Controlled Goods Registration Program (CGRP) without first having to obtain a license or other written authorization from the U.S. Department of State.

Coretec complies with ITAR Canadian Exemption requirements through its registration with the US Department of State as a Manufacturer, Broker and Exporter, as well as being registered with Canada’s CGRP program.

Why should I choose Coretec’s ITAR solution?
